  • Business (C/A) - This is granted for people visiting Romania to take part in business-related activities.
  • Cultural/Scientific/Humanitarian/Medical (C/ZA) - This type is for people who are visiting the country to take part in cultural, scientific, or humanitarian activities, or also for short term medical treatment.
  • Sports (C/SP) -  These are granted for individuals who have to participate in a sporting event in Romania.
  • Employment (D/AM) - This long term ‘D’ type is granted for a duration of longer than 90 days for the purpose of taking up a job in the country.
  • Family Reunion (D/VF) - This is issued for people travelling to unite with their family members living in Romania.
  • Studies (D/SD) - These types of permits are issued for students entering the country to enrol in long term academic courses.
     

Checklist for Romania Visa

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the country.
  • A photograph meeting the specifications.
  • Detailed travel itinerary.
  • Confirmed flight tickets.
  • Proof of sufficient funds such as bank statements.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Proof of accommodation such as hotel bookings, an invitation letter from a host, etc.

Processing Time

After you submit the application at the embassy, it may take up to 15 working days for it to be processed. But depending on a variety of variables, such as the kind of permission, the quantity of entries, the volume of applications at the embassy, your prior travel history, and so forth, it might differ greatly. Therefore, make sure to apply as soon as possible.
