However, before starting your application, you must ensure that you are eligible to travel to Peru on a particular category. You may then proceed to make the application as follows -
- Visit the website of the Peruvian embassy and download the Peru visa application form.
- Fill in the application form with all the required details.
- Affix your photograph, fingerprint, and sign the application form.
- Along with the completed Peru visa form, documents, and the fees, visit the Embassy of Peru in New Delhi in person. Alternately, you can send it through a travel agent.
Ensure that you fill in the application form with all the correct details, and provide only genuine documents. Providing false information or fake documents can lead to visa rejection.
Peru Visa Types
Based on the purpose of the visit, the visa for Peru can be majorly classified into the following types -
Tourist Visa: As the name suggests, this category is for people who are travelling to the country to take part in tourism-related activities such as sight-seeing, leisure, etc.
Business Visa: This is granted for people travelling to attend business-activities in the country.
Visit Visa: This is issued for people visiting Peru to meet their family/friends living in the country.
Resident Visa: These are granted for people who will be staying in the county for longer than 90 days. They may be issued for education, employment, family reunion, and so on

Processing Time
The time taken to process the Peruvian visa is around 7-10 working days and can even go up to 90 days at times. However, this can vary significantly based on several factors such as the volume of applications at the embassy, the type of visa, the duration and validity, and so on. As a result, ensure that you apply well in advance.
